Tekken 6BR tournament in Rawalpindi

There is a big Tournament of TEKKEN 6 on 29th of may 2010 @ cinpx, Rawalpindi.
Entries r limited (64) so hurry. Entry fee is 600 Rs. 1st price is 15000!

To DF: Until this time, more than 23 participants are confirmed, they extendid last date for registration. It will be huge. Check their playing setup.

Sadly, I couldn't attend the event due to work.
But I'll be there in any condition if there will be kof tournament specially kof 2k2.

Hi guys, terribly sorry I couldn't update the thread regarding the event sooner but I was really dead tired from yesterday's event and I just got up(around 1PM)

The event went longer than we expected but the end result was great and I got to see some of the best matches in Tekken 6 ever. I personally went there around 11PM and we started casual matches from 12:00PM to 2:00PM so people could try out the arcade sticks and warm up before the main event. We officially started the matches around 2:15PM.

We had 4 screens running for the event but most of the people had problems with the different types of sticks available so in the end we were only running 2 screens. I personally thought the as a tournament player its your responsibility to bring your stick or controller along with you. We as organizers can only provide a handful of sticks to you( We had arranged 6 sticks) but people were only interested in picking only 3 out of them. So the end result was running over 127(2N-1, where N=64) matches being conducted on 2 screens only, 2N-1 is the formula for the double elimination tournament where N is the number of players).

Anyway, leaving that aside the tournament was fun to watch I got to see some excellent players from all over Pakistan with people coming from Gujranwala, Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Jehlum and Islamabad. Most of the players were from Gujranwala and Lahore and even the final was between cities at the end. I personally was looking over the matches of Abrar(Lee), Saleh Habib(Steve), Awais(Marduk), Azam(Jack6) and Vicky(Jack6) where I thought Azam will win the tournament. However, we all know things don't go as planned and Azam lost to Vicky in a very tight mirror match which was the Winner's Bracket final. Similarly, Awais also suffered a defeat from Vicky ending himself up in the loser bracket with nothing to lose. This is where Awais got the windings blowing with him, he had to win 4-5 consecutive matches in order to end up in the losers bracket final. And guess who was waiting for him in the match which will determine who will end up fighting against Vicky in the final? It was none other than Azam. Yes, both contestants who lost to vicky in the winners bracket battling it out to get a chance to get the revenge match against vicky in the final.

Loser Bracket Final
The match between Azam and Awais was a nail bitter(Seriously). If I remember correctly Azam was winning the final match with 2-0 where he only had to win one more round but this is where Awais made his comeback and snatched the match from Azam.

Championship Final
So finally the two competitors meet up again and both fighting to earn the title of the best Tekken 6 player in Pakistan. Vicky quickly picked his main Jack6 but to our surprise Awais picked Jack 6. This is the first time we ever saw Awais picking up Jack 6 and I was a little worried how things will end up from Awais end. Well his planned work, he knew the Jack mirror match quite well and vicky as well as the audience got shocked when Vicky lost the first match to Awais. We expected to see a come back from Vicky in the second match but Awais contained his composure and won the second match as well.

You might think Awais has won the tournament but if you remember that this was the first time Vicky lost in the tournament which means he will get a rematch since in the double elimination you can't get eliminated unless you are defeated twice. Therefore, Awais will have to defeat Vicky again in order to win the championship

Championship rematch
So it all came down to this. Will Awais keep his rhythm and win the tournament or has Vicky got something up his sleeve. The first match was again a Jack6 mirror match and Vicky finally got a win against Awais. So now if Vicky wins the next match he will win the tournament. For this reason I believe Awais switched back to his Marduk. Awais did his best against Vicky to get himself a match in order to go to the next match to decide the final but Vicky knew this match up and claimed victory over Awais.

There you have it folks, we finally found the best Tekken 6 player in Pakistan and that is Vicky.

Great man i wud love to see the videos of these matches as i can feel the warmths and the pressure matches these must be really good and why wouldn't they be, it was a biggest tekken tournament in Pakistan and its organized so well infact we all should inspire and arrange a KOF tournament like this.

I mean with the help of Bilal and other friends, we can bring players from karachi, Lahore, and all other cities at one place. In this way we can arrange a huge tourney and yes we have to contribute in it financially to make it successful.

Interesting thing is that Lahori champ Asim defeat tournament winner vicky in a 1 on 1 challenge in Lahore.
And a hot story in kof scene now a days is, Dark Geese is trying to send some top mexican players to Japan just to show the world and "specially Emill" that Japanese are not GODS in kof 2k2 "NOW". It will be great I think. Check those Mexican vs Japanese player Bata matches in for kof 2k2.

I heard from unconfirm sources that another Tekken 6 BR tournament is going to be held in cine pax sponsored by some company. Any news about it?

what is BR??? i know only tekken 6...is it complete name of it or some version??

the consol version is Tekken 6 Blood Rebillion, Tekken 6 was released only arcade version T6BR is the updated n latest version.
